Short GOBDUN Game Review:

Gobdun is a dungeon-crawling gauntlet where survival depends on your reflexes, strategy, and sheer luck. The maze is a death trap, packed with goblins, shifting walls, and hazards that seem specifically designed to ruin your day. You start with a weak sword and a half-broken shield, but it’s not like the enemies are going to wait for you to find better gear. Every hallway could lead to treasure—or straight into a horde of goblins that have no interest in letting you pass.

The further you go, the worse it gets. Goblins get faster, traps become nearly impossible to predict, and weird magical artifacts appear that could either save you or curse you forever. There are vending machines scattered around, randomly spitting out weapons, armor, and buffs, but don’t expect them to be generous. Some upgrades are amazing, others are completely useless, and you won’t know which until you grab them.

Speaking of enemies, you’re not just fighting basic goblins. Some of them throw fire, others summon reinforcements, and a few just charge at you like they’ve got nothing to lose. And when you finally start feeling confident, the game throws in boss fights that make everything else look easy. These monsters are huge, unpredictable, and love to trap you in tight spaces where dodging isn’t an option.

Loot is everywhere, but the best rewards are always guarded by something nasty. Maybe it’s a pile of gold sitting in the middle of a spike floor, or a legendary weapon just barely out of reach—do you risk it? You could go for the safer path, but good luck beating later levels without strong gear.

There’s also a weird auto-combat option, but don’t expect it to carry you. It helps a little, but if you’re relying on it, you’re probably already doomed. Gobdun is chaotic, punishing, and absolutely addictive. Every run is different, and every loss makes you want to try again. Just keep moving, keep slashing, and hope the maze doesn’t decide to crush you before the goblins do.
